EF EcoFlow Delta 1300 Quick Review
EcoFlow Delta 1300 Review
I am writing this EF EcoFlow Delta 1300 review after using it for 5 months on the road, and one month at home.
This 1800 running-watt solar power station has a 1260Wh capacity and it is mostly used as a backup power source to power small fridges, lights, microwaves, coffee makers, small AC, laptops, cellphones, and other small appliances
The thing I like about this power station is the high-speed charging feature, and several different AC and DC outlets to power anything on the road or at home.
Design of EF EcoFlow Delta 1300:
Despite having 1800 running power and 1260Wh (350Ah, 3.7) battery capacity, EF EcoFlow Delta weighs only 30.9 pounds.
It is very lightweight, compact, and portable compared to power stations of a similar power range.
It got nice handles to carry it. The design is rugged and solid without any loose ends. It is loaded with 13 AC and DC ports with vents on the back side to prevent overheating.
One of the main selling points of this power station is the LCD screen. It tells you how many times (minutes and hours) are left on the screen instead of telling the battery percentage.
It is not as compact as Jackery Explorer 1000 so might want to think twice before plugging it into the back of your truck, but it is twice as powerful with a 1260Wh of capacity, It is ideal for me, my RV, and even my truck.
How Many Ports Does EcoFlow Delta 1300 Have?
- X6 AC outlets.
- X2 USB-A ports.
- X2 fast charging ports
- X2 USB-C ports (60W)
- DC 13.6V port (cigarette lighter)
How Do You Charge an EcoFlow Delta 1300?
It has three charging options. So this power station features X-Stream fast charging technology through which you can charge this unit in no time using an AC wall outlet.
But I used this unit for 5 months on the road and only 1 month at home. So I was either using solar charging or car charging.
1. Solar charging:
EcoFlow Delta 1300 can accept 400W of solar input which is not ideal for 1800 running watt solar generator.
I was using Rockpal SP003 100W foldable solar panels on the road.
This device takes about 7.1 hours to fully charge on a bright sunny day.
2. Wall Charging:
So this power station features fast charging technology for the AC wall outlet. The last time I was home I took some tests.
- From 0 to 80%, the device took less than an hour.
- From 0 to 100%, the device was full in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Now after 6 months of use, I again took some readings.
- From 0 to 80%, the device took less than an hour.
- From 0 to 100%, the device was full in 1 hour and 49 minutes.
If you are just using it for emergency backup at home, EF EcoFlow Delta 1300 is a lifesaver because it gets charged in no time.
3. Car Charging:
12V DC car charging takes about 14 hours to fully charge this solar generator. I know it is a bit slow most people use their power stations while they drive so it kinda balances out the slow charging.
I also charge my batteries, and navigation devices, and power my mini cooler while I drive.
What Appliances Does EF EcoFlow Delta Will Charge?
What is The Performance of EcoFlow Delta 1300?
1800 running watts is a lot. People often use it as an emergency backup power for their homes. I have done the same for the last month because we have been facing some power outages due to bad weather.
It can go from 0 to 80% in just 60 minutes, and 0 to 100% in 1 hour and 40 minutes which I have tested.
I also like the 3300 watts surge power. I got a lot of motor-driven gadgets that need that little bit of extra power to overcome inertia.
The performance of EcoFlow Delta 1300 is solid with a very low self-discharge rate.
When I was camping, I use to attach drone batteries, camera batteries, cellphones, laptops, navigation devices, and other small devices to this power station overnight.
In the morning, the battery always drained like it was supposed to. BMS doesn’t consume an extra charge just to stay ON which is a big plus for this device.
The shelf life of the battery is around 12 months and 800+ lifecycles. Although I haven’t tested the theory lithium batteries are very reliable so I kinda believe the statement.
Load Test of EF EcoFlow Delta 1300:
This power station is rated an 1800-watt continuous and 3300-watt surge. I conducted a load test a couple of months ago on the road.
I am not lying when I say that this solar generator is amazing for small-sized campers, however, if you need more wattage go for EcoFlow Delta Pro.
Should I Buy an EcoFlow Delta 1300 Solar Generator?
If you are looking for a powerful solar generator as a backup power source for a home that can also be used for camping and outdoors, you should buy an EcoFlow Delta 1300. This thing is loaded with AC and DC ports, an LCD screen shows the time left on the battery, it has an ultra-fast charging technology, and it has 1800 running watts and 3300-watt surge power output with a 1260Wh battery capacity.
I guarantee you will not regret buying this solar generator.
